What is the
Exploitation Radar?

The exploitation radar is a valuable, modular tool for monitoring Key Exploitable Results (KERs) in EU funded projects. It provides an easy to use, structured, visual, and dynamic approach to track, evaluate, and prioritize emerging technologies and innovations.

What is
its purpose?

Structured Monitoring of KERs

  • Categorization of KERs: The exploitation radar can group KERs into clear categories (e.g., Technological Readiness Level (TRL), market maturity, research potential) to ensure systematic tracking.
  • Progress Tracking: It helps visualize the advancement of each KER through development stages, from proof of concept to commercialization.

Alignment with Project Goals

  • Focus on Impact: Ensures that the KERs are aligned with the broader objectives of the EU project, such as innovation impact, societal benefit, alignment with EU policies etc.
  • Strategic Planning: Provides insights into which assets are worth investing time and resources to maximize the project’s outcomes.

Visual & Dynamic Decision-Making

  • Clear Prioritization: The radar visually highlights all promising KERs, enabling project partners to focus on those with the highest potential impact.
  • Dynamic Updates: As KERs evolve, the radar can be updated to reflect new insights, market trends, or technological advancements.

Enhanced Collaboration

  • Cross-Domain Insights: Partners from different sectors or domains can easily understand where their KERs stand and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Transparent Communication: Acts as a common language for stakeholders, making it easier to share progress and align efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Showcasing Innovation: The exploitation radar can be used to demonstrate the value and progress of KERs to external stakeholders, including EU funding bodies, industry partners, and policymakers.
  • Feedback and Input: Encourages input from stakeholders to refine and validate the exploitation strategy.

Future-Proofing Exploitation Plans

  • Forecasting Trends: Identifies long-term opportunities and challenges by keeping track of emerging technologies or markets related to the KERs.
  • Scaling Potential: Helps gauge the scalability and adaptability of KERs across different sectors or applications.
